The Inspiration Edit: Feelings of Spring

Spring is in Full Bloom

If you know me at all, you know I love the first 3/4 of Devil Wears Prada because Meryl absolutely kills it and she has so many epic lines. "Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking." Every time spring is about to...spring, I think of that line and laugh! Maybe it’s because we live in Texas, but to me, spring means Easter dresses, bunnies, yellow tulips, straw hats, and white shoes! I thought it would be fun to share my spring mood board and a few pieces that capture it’s feeling for home and even our closets!

Materials + Motifs

No florals?! What am I thinking?! This year, I’m being more inspired this season by white eyelet, light chambray, and neutrals. I’m even balancing in some more masculine materials like houndstooth and leather—who says spring has to be all ruffles?

Decor

To bring this inspo board to life in your home, try adding marble, a fawn-inspired pillow, or up the romance with a collection of brass candlesticks with white tapers! Like my mood board, make sure you’re keeping things balanced, and not too feminine. By adding in a stack of leather books, a stucco ball, or a rough charcoal sketch framed in a light wood—something, you’ll have a well-rounded and full spring look!

Wardrobe

Spring doesn’t just call for fresh colors and textures in our home, but I also love translating the fresh new season into my wardrobe! Obviously, its going to incorporate blues and whites- a classic spring color palette!
